Fuji Motor Co., Ltd., 1951 - 1964
富士自動車株式舍社
Not the same company as Fuji Heavy Industries. At the end of WWII, Hitachi Aircraft changed their name to Tokyo Gas and Electric Manufacturing Company, which, in 1952, began producing small two-cycle engines. It merged with Fuji Automobile, and the new company under the name of Fuji Motor built both engines for other companies (Yamaguchi and Miyata for example) as well as their own lines under the brand names FMC and Gasuden (ガスデン号).
Engines were all 2 strokes running pre-mix, and displacements ranged from 122cc singles through to 246cc twins.
FMC also made small cars.
