- The ASCO front calliper can be difficult to locate parts for - I used the piston from a GT550 which seemed to work well.
- It is worth noting that the crankshafts of the 'A' and 'B' are not directly interchangeable with earlier models due to the ignition change to PEI in 1976. If attempting to mix and match - the 'A/B' left side wheel and end (12261-15001) needs to be changed.
- The tire pump mounting lugs are missing on the GT500A/B frames, and the forward tank mounting lugs are mounted in a different location. The GT series also uses a GT750 style rear tank mount.
