Carburettors
|
The sequence of carburettors seems to be as follows (based on the parts manuals I have access to):
- The MK I carburettor part number is shown as being either 15601 or 15602 in several of the manuals I own, but the several carburettors I have are actually stamped with 15010 (plastic float) or 15011 (brass float) leading me to doubt the 15601/15602 is correct. The earliest parts manual I have was printed in February 1968 and is specific to the MK I, but doesn't list a part number for the carburettor as a unit at all. It just lists the numbers for the carburettor components themselves.
- MK II, MK III, T500R, T500J machines were stamped 15601 (per the Japan domestic manuals) or 15602 (per the general export and USA manuals) - I would like to confirm which it is so if you have one of these models, please send me a photo of the stamping.
- The 15602 carburettors were superseded to 15603, 15604, and finally 15606 in the parts manuals.
- T500K were stamped 15310, then 15312
- T500L were stamped 15312 changing to 15313 during production
- T500M, GT500A and GT500B were stamped 15313
